The Cribs

Yesterday I saw the Cribs with Death Cab and Franz Ferdinand. It was one the best concerts I have ever been to. The cribs were on first, and I was standing as close as I could while not being on the floor. It was one the best moments of my life. Not even joking. Definite top 3. You know those girls in Beatles movies, or with boy bands who are freaking out and crying? That was almost me except for I was dancing by myself. It was so incredible, there are not even words to explain.

Wisdom Teeth - the sequel

My wisdom teeth experience is not as pleasant as it first seemed. I started going down hill when I took 4 T3's in 5 hours. I then called my father who was like "you have overdosed" which explained my extreme dizziness, uncontrollable shaking and intense feeling that I was going to vomit. I lied down and tried to sleep it off, which worked pretty good until I tried to sit up, then it all came rushing back. Luckily my AMAZING friends Renee and Ellorie came over to see how I was doing. This proved to be extremely helpful as my parents, who said they would be home at around 5:30, 6:30 at the latest, didn't get home till 8:30 (they did have a valid excuse, but still). Anyways, my recommendations for getting your wisdom teeth are

1. Don't take to much tylenol
2. Make sure your parents are trustworthy
3. Have awesome friends

Wisdom Teeth

To day I got my wisdom teeth out! It actually wasn't that bad, they gave me my anesthetic, and I got all tingly then had a really nice long nap. Now I am very hungry but don't want to eat because of the gauze in my mouth to help with the bleeding. Check out my vimeo clips as well.

Today started off great. Not only was it Easter Sunday which means chocolate galore but my grandma came over! With her she brought me a little gift. I was away during the world figure skating championships which were in Calgary this year but my grandma went everyday. One day she met the one and only Jeffrey Buttle! She took his picture and got his autograph then put them together and gave them to me! This is incredible thrilling on account of I am in LOVE with figure skating and there is nothing more beautiful then Jeffrey Buttle's long program. My Grandma ROCKS!

After the excitement we told Grammie that she had to pick out which of my grad pictures she want. Whilst looking at them my sister realized that one of my eyes is bigger then the other!

We think it is because I cut myself right by my left eye so now the muscles are looser which makes my eye look bigger. I doesn't really matter though as the fact remains that one eye is bigger then the other and my life as I know it ceases to exist!

Punk Rockers!

Yesterday I had a very good time at the UPRISEFEST! - local bands performing all day in a benefit for a permanent all ages hall. Great idea, except for by the time that actually happens I will have reached the legal age and be able to go to any venue I desire! I danced a lot, which was fun, but the punk rockers beside me were not so fun. My poor little toes got stomped on multiple times and many a poor dancer was pushed around against their will. Finally, they calmed down a little, and the one girl was just staring at me I shimmied over and danced a bit, then she smiled and laughed, and just stood there. Rock on all you Punk Rockers!

FIRE!

Last night I had a big fire. It was good, we threw saw dust at it and the flames got really high, then everybody threw two handfuls at once expecting a massive fire ball, but the sawdust suffocated the fire and it went out. I soon started it's self again but it's almost at that precise moment that I started to rain even harder then it previously was, so we decide to move in side and build a fire in my fireplace. So turn on the gas, and put in all the old Christmas wrapping that has been in the fireplace since Christmas and get the fire going. Oh yeah, I have to mention there was a sage bundle in there too, which mad a nice aroma and cool colors. Soon after the fire was started, people noticed that the house was slightly smoky. We realized we had forgot to open the flu and we were just smoking up my house. We put out the fire, but that is the least of our problems because the fire alarm, which is connected to the security alarm system starts going off. We turn of the alarm but can't reset the system so the alarm continues to go off every 5 minutes for an hour. We finally, after two calls to the alarm company, reset the system and the alarm stops. All in all, a fairly exciting night.

Vin Diesel

My sister has been sick and had a plugged nose. to help her to breath at night, she has hooked up a steamer in our room. the steamer makes the room very humidy and sutffy because you have to close the doors and windows to keep the steam in.
It also doesn't help that the window is broken and jocelyn doesn't like to open it. This process is reeking havoc with my posters, Vin Diesel in particular. In the middle of the night I wake up to find my lovely black and white poster in Vin off the wall and on my bed. This puts little creases in the poster as it falls funny and invariable compels me to get up, out of bed, clear a space on the floor and place Vin in the flattest position possible until the next morning when I can reinstate him to his proper spot on my wall. This isn't only a problem with Vin but also with my Marilyn Monroe poster and my spice girls poster. Luckily nothing else is big enough to fall, but some of the corners peel of the wall and leave my pictures droopy. Straight up, this is a big pain in the bum as Vin and Marilyn both have little creases in them now and I am running low on tape due to my costing reposting of posters. Hopefully Jocelyn's cold will be better and we can stop the steamer, or I'm going to have my lovely posters and move out.

Daylight Savings

Daylight savings is quite incredible. When you think about it, it is one of the only things society does as a whole. This morning everyone turned there clock one hour forward and just accepted the fact that everyone else will do it to. I mean, what if it was when you set your clock and hour back, and you forgot to do it but you had a flight to catch, you would miss your flight. Setting everyone off by and hour could have very terrible unintended consequences. You think with something this important there would be more public services announcements. Today for instant, my nana forgot to change her watch and all of a sudden she had missed the Sunday breakfast of waffles with whipped cream and berries. This may not seem a big deal to come people but to and 80 year old women who looks forward to Sunday brunch at the lodge, it is a big deal! Or what about school? If some poor kid didn't set his watch forward, then he gets to school and hour early, no one is there and then his teacher finds him and says "my you are an excellent student coming to school and hour before everyone else!" then the kid becomes the teachers pet which of course leads to bullying, especially if you are in grade 10, and bullying leads to poor little depressed grade 10's and it just goes on. To think, all this because of daylight savings.

Rare occurence

So today i cleaned up my room, the downstairs and my rifle. and the kitchen. After a highly unproductive spring break, I just got in the mood to do something, like clean. Also, yesterday was the worst day ever. After a lovely drive home from canmore, i had an appoitment to get my new radio! in my car! exciting, or so it seemed. after waiting for and hour and 15 min, we (my dad and I) returned to pickup the finished product. unfourtunatley the guy tells us he can't get the deck out cause it needs a special key, but it's coming. So we go and wait for an other hour, come back and he says, sorry, it didn't work, we don't have the key. so now i have to drive down to frickin sunridge on wendsday for frickin 5:00 to get my dumb radio installed! also, i had to spend 2 hours at the mall. what an awful saturday.
