That is Nick Simmons, Gene Simmons son. He is a total babe. He is also 6"7, wears jewelry and rocks out. I want to be his girlfriend.

Ballin in New Brunswick.

Name: Katelyn Mudry
Location: Dalhousie, New Brunswick
Currently Activity: Blogging/listening to the new Arcade Fire.

The New Arcade Fire album (Neon Bible) is very good, but most people already know that by now. Listening to this album makes me happy not only because it is awesome but because every single second I listen to it all I think about is much better it will be when I see Win Butler and his crew playing their hearts out at the Sasquatch Festival. My tickets have been printed and are in the mail.

New Brunswick is actually very nice. Everyday driving to the Biathlon site we drive across this sort of ocean road. I'm not sure if it is directly the ocean, or just a bay (I could look at a map but that would mean leaving my hotel room. Gross!). Whatever that body of water is it is beautiful and covered in snow and ice. There are houses her right on the shore and I can only imagine how awesome it would be to live here in the summer and jump of you back lawn and in to the ocean. Today I will break all my personal stereotypes by getting off my butt and being active and going for a run around the town. It has been blogged, so it will be done.

Other: I want a Polaroid camera like, real bad. I vow to never travel without my guitar again. Last night I dreamnt I held my guitar in my arms and it was glorious. I a have a very expensive yogurt habit. At least a tub a day. If I'm buying good yogurt and cottage cheese for extra protein, that's like 5 bucks day a which is 35 bucks a week which is 140 dollars a month. That could seriously be damaging to my pocket book when I leave home next year. Crap. Drug addicts must be fully financially screwed like, always. Also The Polyphonic Spree have just been added to the Sasquatch line up so, HELLS YA.

Dear self:

I am currently away on a two week biathloning trip (most likely my last, try not to cry) in Fort Kent, Maine then in Charlo, New Brunswick. Whilst being away and flying and listening to the New Arcade Fire album (very good) I thought of many things I must do when I get home. This post is a personal post to myself to remind me of all the things I must do when I get home.

Dear Katelyn:

Upon return from your epic Biathloning, please remember to do the following -
Go to your new job on Tuesday. 10 or 11? Look it up.
Download (I mean buy, of course) the new Fiest and Bright eyes Albums.
Clean up your mess of a room.
Finally make all those shirts you have ever wanted.
Buy that Gogol Bordello shirt you were looking at.
Lip Dub. (Attn. Jocelyn)
Make a kickin VidBlog. It's been far to long.
Learn on your kickin acoustic guitar the following:
- new Arcade
- Wrong Choice
- Gorillaz
- more Tegan and Sarah
- Band of freakin Horses
- Dang it!! someother awesome band I forgot
Organize your freaking mountain of Guitar tab. Or just memorize it all and burn that mountain down.
Rock out with your tambourine and sweet peeps. (Molly Swain, this means you)
Have a back yard Campfire after melting the 400 pounds of snow in your backyard with a blow torch.
By a blow torch to do the above.
Make sweet love to all my wonderful amigos.

Should you fail do to all the above, you will be an absoulte failure and no one will ever love you again. Also, you will be lame.

Your's truly,

Your self.

Yes! Beyond All Belief

On Monday I got in to Ryerson University in Toronto. I have never been so excited for anything in my entire life. All I can think about is living in T Dot (which I love) and being the coolest freshman ever to actually be in their second year after high school graduation and have already completed one semester of postsecondary.

Living in Toronto will be awesome because:

+ I will get to ride the subway and street cars everywhere. Toronto Transit kicks Calgary transits butt.
+ I will need to pack up all my clothes. Upon arriving in Toronto I will realize that I forgot/don't have lots of stuff and will get to go shopping.
+ Every week there will be an awesome concert I can and will go to.
+ Due to my extreme spending on musical excursions, I will eat the bare minimum and make people buy me stuff all the time.
+ New York is only a bus ride away. That means I can see Matt & Kim live in Brooklyn! Hopefully in someones Kitchen or upon a roof top.
+ Due to Toronto's massive population and hip happening scene I will meet the coolest people ever, I am sure of it.

Besides all of this I will be getting and education and moving forward in my life. All in all, I highly recommend getting accepted for your University of choice. It is awesome.

In other news:

Word on the street is that Little Rock, Arkansas is where it is at. Check out Totally Michael's blog for more details. Also check out Totally Micheal's songs if you like cheerleaders, ballons, riding bikes and yelling.
